Wilderness Systems range of Tarpon Sit on Top Kayaks

These are the ultimate touring and fishing sit on kayaks. Wilderness Systems, long one of the worlds premier kayak manufacturers, leapt to the top of the design and quality stakes when they introduced the first range of Tarpon kayaks. We have been stocking them at our Cornwall Canoe and Kayak Shop since 2004 and they have been extremely popular.

The Tarpon hulls have a conventional kayak "boat" shape unlike many other well known brands. This is a proven design feature, it gives the best compromise of stability, speed and sea keeping which is especially important around the Cornish coastline.

The current Wilderness Systems Tarpon models were introduced in 2009 and were an immediate hit. The high level of specification with the integrated seat and backrest, orbix hatches, slidetrax accessory rails and other subtle features keep the Tarpons well ahead of the others.

Angling versions come with twin rear flushmount fishing rod holders, a Scotty Rodmaster 2 (or equivalent) on a slidetrax "universal mounting plate", anchor with 12m rope and fitted deck cleat. We fit these ourselves for an all-in price of £140.

Colours
For 2011 colours are dark blue, light blue, red, yellow, orange and mango.
We keep all models in stock and the Tarpon 100 and Tarpon 120 in all or most colours.
